Finally, an Update

Casey John is pretty much a normal 2 1/2 year old. He has days where he leg visibly bothers him and he will let us know. He’s still on the ibouprofen two times a day (morning and night), when we tried to ween him off in March it ended up being to uncomfortable for him. So the Ibouprofen helps swelling and discomfort. He tends to have an “old man” limp (no offense to any one out there) whether it is painful or not. Some days the limp is really noticeable but he has no pain. A recent call to his orthopedic resulted in a don’t worry that’s normal response. He goes in June for his four month check-up and x-rays.
He asks to be carried and picked up more than Zach ever did and we attribute that to his hip bothering him. He goes up and down steps carefully and is  a little slower walking sometimes, but boy can he run! He can almost keep up with Zach and is catching up height wise. He is still a skinny boy though, too tall for 2T and too skinny for 3T’s!
I pray that no damage is permanent and his body grows right out of this. More updates in June.
