Happy New Year? By the time I get used to writing 2006 2007 it’ll be time for 2008. We had an absolutely wonderful New Year’s celebration at the house with a bunch of friends and family. We had a fire pit with the chairs to keep everyone warm, a super big fireworks show, and a potluck dinner fit for the royal family! There wound up being about 7 of us who made it to midnight and beyond, at which point the silly got really silly (thanks to three bottles of champagne).

Zach enjoyed the fireworks, Casey John is still not a big fan (even with headphones on) he ended up inside watching cartoons, or so we thought. Casey had popped in the house to check on him and discovered he had been hitting the cookies tins pretty hard, he showed Casey which cookies were chocolate, which ones tasted better, etc. He was wide awake! We got the boys to bed about 10pm, which I am sure is the latest they’ve ever stayed up. Played some cards games with our friends and chatted into the wee hours. Casey was so sweet because when the boys popped out of bed at 7am the next morning he let me sleep for a few more hours!
