No I didn’t win the lotto or hit a triple 7 in Vegas… This past weekend as I was folding laundry, in particular a pair of jeans belonging to Zachary, I found some folded paper in one of his pockets. No not paper, but money. Huh… it could have been a dollar left over from his allowance, but as I unfolded it I it was a five and a ten. Total of $15 in that boys pocket! Then I began to wonder where the heck it came from. I asked him if he remembered where he got it ( who knows how many wash cycles it went through before I found it ) and he had no idea. Time to call Dr. Sherlock.
So first I dialed Grandma Alebis to see if she put some extra money is Z’s pocket, and she said maybe she did, she couldn’t remember. She did remember that Zach had told her he needed $15 to buy a memory stick for his video game. So there’s that magic number of 15. Well we ordered him the memory stick.
He is doing very well learning about counting, adding, etc by using his allowance. He earns it by helping with the trash, doing little chores, brushing his teeth, etc. He had $9 in his piggy bank and had $2 left out of $5 last week and he knew that all together he had $11 and only needed $4 more! He is so very bright at times! Here’s to finding more money lost in pockets while doing the laundry!!!
