Baca & the Zoo

Chewbaca that is. Zach and Casey John spent the weekend teaching Riley Roo all the Star Wars characters and how to say Chewbaca which came out to “baca”.  The boys and I went to San Antonio this weekend and meet Grandma, Aunt Sam, and Riley Roo. We stayed in a hotel ( always a hit with the boys ) and went to the SA Zoo. We had a pretty good time at the zoo, it was a bit windy but not too bad. We got to see a lot of the animals, and they are adding a major area for Africa Live! so there was a fair amount of construction.

Casey John was really into the fish ( small aquarium ), snakes, lizards, and crocodiles. He absolutely loves snakes, weird but cool. Zach enjoyed mostly all of it, especially feeding the fish and goats. Casey John however did not appreciate the greedy little goats. I tried to convince him to give a food pellet to one to which he proclaimed, “I already gave him one!” He quickly was up in my arms away from the baby goats! Riley loved the goats ( see the photos, Yes I already got them posted! ) and giggled when they licked her face.

The double beds in the room were quite interesting when it came time to sleep. Sam and I sandwiched Miss Riley who was pretty good, the second night she kept her feet on my back or butt the entire night, but sweet none the less. The boys kept grandma company. They behaved pretty well and Aunt Sam and I even managed to get them ready for bed last night and head over to a pub off Broadway called The Lion & Rose. Wow, what a great pub. I can’t wait to go back with Casey. Enjoy the photos.
