Me and the boys

Friday afternoon after Zach got out of school we picked up a rental car (Casey had to work all weekend and I decided to take the boys to Fiesta Texas so we needed an extra car) and then headed home to get some clothes before heading to San Antonio. Aunt MaeMae had called and said we could come stay at her house Friday night and then go to Fiesta Saturday. On the way back into to San Marcos Zach found a fake leaf ( from a decorative house plant ) in the rental car and he exclaimed “Oh mom, a fake leaf! I can add it to my fake leaf collection because I collect fake leafs!” So that’s another one for the books!

We had dinner in San Marcos with Casey and got to San Antonio about 7:45pm. The boys spent the next two hours playing the Wii with MaeMae and Baba. Sleeping on the air mattress isn’t bad, it’s the two little wiggle worms who sleep right on top of me! At one point Casey John cried out that Zach was squishing him… in his sleep. It was windy and cool Saturday morning so Fiesta wasn’t too busy, we headed towards Spassburg which is where the little folk rides are. (I have a few pictures on the photo albums page) The boys rode the handful of rides they liked then we hopped on the big train back to the front of the park. A quick stop for a batman cape (for Zach) and some batman cups ( we watched “Batman Begins” last weekend so now everything is about Batman ) and our 3 hours of fun was over. A quick lunch and a little more play time at MaeMae’s while I fixed their computer before we came home.

Today I am going to take them to the park, (Casey had to work again) try to go to the grocery store, and clean up around the house. Next Friday we are having a roof party – anyone who wants to come help us tear off our old roof and put a new one on you know my number. Zach has been invited to his first sleepover next Friday and he says he wants to go. We’ll see. Lastly, it’s the 15th of April and we had to turn the heater on this morning!
