Did I mention this weekend was one of the best weekends? The boys each picked their own Mom’s Day cards to give to me and I’ll scan them soon so you can see what they picked out on their own. They cracked me up!
Late Saturday afternoon after all the festivities we got in Grandpa’s new boat and headed out for a ride. We ended up at Sunday Beach ( a beach only accessible by boat, on the inside is the calm bay great for swimming and about a mile across the sand dunes is the Gulf of Mexico). Grandma was catching some trout off the back of the boat with some help from Casey John, and Zach decided to do some swimming! I was busy taking pictures of all the activity and the really awesome sunset.

The boys slept at the camper Saturday night and Sunday was a casual morning. We decided to head out towards the beach again and do some fishing along the way. The water was a smooth as glass and very clear. We caught a few trout before Zach was too anxious to get to the beach, so we moved on. Casey and Grandpa continued to catch some smaller trout right there at Sunday Beach and the water was so clear you could see the fish underwater as the reeled them in. Zach and Casey John had a blast as usual running and playing in the water! When we left the beach we went and towed some of Uncle John’s buddies back to the dock since their boat broke down, then we all cleaned up and went for a nice, sit down lunch. We headed home shortly afterwards and just had a fun weekend!
