The week has been pretty uneventful, work and school. The boys have just 4 1/2 more days of school until summer break. Casey and I are scrambling to come up with a plan to keep them entertained at the shop. We spent the better part of today in San Marcos, I somehow volunteered myself to help with the silent auction booth at a festival in town for the boys school. While Casey John and big Casey hung out at the shop, Zach stayed with me at the festival and did some art at the art booth, pet the horsey, tried to learn how to rope, ate a yummy snow cone…
Onto to the title…. on the way into town the other morning ( this is a common line because Zach does most of his talking in the jeep ) Zach asked why people are bald ( in particular why one of our friend’s Jimmy is bald ). We explained that sometimes as people get older the “lose” their hair, and sometimes they lose it when they are younger. He seemed to take it in and that was all. Friday morning he blurts out to Casey and I, “Mom, we need to help Jimmy find his hair.” After getting mad at his daddy for laughing at him we explained that you can’t play hide and seek with hair, once it goes away it’s gone for good. So he then suggests we find some super power magic to put on Jimmy’s head to get his hair back. I say what a smart idea that it and he says, “Yep, I’m a genius!”
I think our children help us grow older with worry and concern yet younger at the same time with laughter and love. More soon.
