I have added more to my laundry pile – yes Zachary “earned” his Karate uniform and his first belt yesterday at his Karate lesson. We’ll start with one month – two times a week. They learn respect (yes sir, no sir), confidence, coordination, etc. In the middle of his lesson yesterday (the first two were one-on-one with the instructor) he whispered “Mom, this is so awesome!” The place he’ll go is right across the street from the shop and it’s run by three brothers. Here he is in his “guardian stance”.

He has already learned a few things and has memorized their creed. Casey John has absolutely no interest (although he’d benefit the most and it’s low impact so it’d be good for him and his hips) but I told him if and when he does he can join his brother.
