You know it’s going to be a long afternoon when you pick up Mr. Cranky Pants (Casey J) from school shortly before lunch. Mr. CP was in just an awful mood, don’t know if he had a bad day at school or was just tired but he took it out on me. I finally decided to take him with me to Target to pick out a birthday present for his daddy, and afterwards he was in a little better mood. When Zach got to the shop he was doing some coloring with some markers and after a bit Mr. CP walks into my office and shoves this hand into my face –

and I quote,”Mommy, I like to mark on my hand, it’s fun!” After I ask him to please only mark on the paper he agrees and leaves (please note I was super busy with some work). The afternoon goes on and as it’s time to go home I ask him to bring his socks and shoes to me so we can get ready to go. He shows up with this-

and it looks like he had some markers really close to his mouth! Notice the variety of colors and perfect geometry on his forehead? All we could do was laugh, get his shoes on and take them to dinner. You’ll be happy to know that his bath helped erase all marks! Thank goodness it wasn’t permanent 🙂 It can always be worse….
