Movie Reels

tn2_stranger_than_fiction_4.jpgIt’s been a few days since the last time I posted but nothing really out of the ordinary happened. Well, I have a few funny stories but that’s about it 🙂 Friday was Casey’s birthday so “Uncle” Jeff agreed to watch the boys that night so that we could go out for Italian and then catch the late movie. We saw 3:10 to Yuma, it was interesting, lots of gunfighting, and two good looking actors so I guess you can’t complain. Got home late, tried to sleep late but the boys never sleep late on the weekends! Saturday we went and picked up some camping gear for our trip to the Ren Faire this weekend. It’ll be a new experience because we will actually camp at the faire grounds this year and they are primitive, so we picked up a heated water shower thing and a few other items to make life a little nicer. The boys will have a weekend filled with fun at Grandma’s while we get to have some adult only fun time with a group of our friends.

We also watched the movie “Stranger Than Fiction” with Will Ferell and Emma Thompson, it is a movie I would recommend also. It’s a very interesting movie from a new type of perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I also was able to watch “World Trade Center” on Sunday night, yes we didn’t do much this weekend and it was free preview for HBO weekend or something like that. It was a good movie, I considered not watching it but I’m glad I did, it captured some very raw emotion and can only make you more great full of the 343 New York Firefighters who gave their lives, the 34 Port Authority Police and New York PD and the 2, 749 innocent people who died and the families who never saw them again. That would make more movies in one weekend that I think I’ve seen all year. I’m trying to gather short funny stories all together for one page… 🙂
