Lately I think I maybe losing a few valuable brain cells. Maybe I’m sneezing them out from the allergies (ever head that junior high gag, every time you sneeze you lose some good brain cells)? I certainly hope it’s not related to age or anything. Last week I scheduled a hair cut for Zach on what I thought was Thursday afternoon, and when the time came I was busy and completely forgot. I called on Friday to apologize to find out it was actually for Friday afternoon, ok, great we will be there. Guess what, mom came into town Friday afternoon and I forgot again!! I actually didn’t remember until Saturday that I had forgotten. I had the wrong time for Zach’s eye check today (he’s fine by the way, 20/20) so we ended up being ten minutes late…
The jeep is undergoing some repairs so I actually walked to pick up the boys from school the last two days (it takes me about 8 minutes by myself and about 15 minutes with the boys) and it really isn’t a bad walk, kind of nice. Zach and I walked about a mile today from the eye doctor to the shop in time for him to make it to the end of his karate lesson, did I mention he loves Kay-rateee?
Zach has had a couple of funny lines this week. Yesterday on the way home he told me that his “underwear were going in his butt” which I took to mean he had a little wedgie. Then in the same breath asked why dogs didn’t wear shoes. I explained they didn’t need shoes, to which he replied “Well, why don’t they just wear slippers then?” Oh my gosh, too smart and way too full of pointless questions. He got to go to the public library with the first graders and check out a book yesterday and was very proud. He came home with a large hardback book about robots, every possible thing you’d ever want to know about robots and everything you didn’t want to know.
On a last note for the night, Casey John’s big Dell box is still hanging in there, he has added some new ones to his collection and I captured this photo of him and his silliness last week. He loves his cardboard boxes.
