Fixing the Feng Shui

I really don’t know anything about Feng Shui except how to pronounce it, but it states that it’s the practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony with the environment. Well I spent the weekend working on the Feng Shui of the boys room and the ahem, playroom (translate that as room that appears to have been hit by a tornado of Lego proportions). I kicking and screaming willingly gave up my desk area in the playroom and cleaned it up and put it in the boys room. They now have a desk drawer full of crayons, pencils, and markers, a flat area to draw, paint etc all right there in their room. I moved the dresser over and put a shelf above the desk for all their collectible knick-knacks and removed the toy box and put it in the playroom.

I spent most of the day Saturday working in their room then spent yesterday in a natural disaster zone that is commonly referred to as the playroom. Organizing the army of Legos into two trash can like plastic containers with lids, moving drawers and toy boxes around to allow for maximum play area creativity area. The boys came to agreements on toys they don’t play with anymore and decided to pass them along to other little boys (know anyone who desires a large Thomas the Train collection?) to play with. They now have enough area to put their neat little recliner chairs in the playroom for Saturday morning cartoon viewing along with room to create a whole Lego world. Yeah, it’s my spring cleaning fix about 6 months late.
