Just one more bite…

Waitin' for a bite

We spent this weekend in a about three different places. We started Friday off down in Port O’Connor with grandpa. We took a boat ride out to the sinking house (didn’t have my camera then) and a walk on the beach where both boys “accidentally” fell into the water (it was cold). Saturday morning we tried fishing in a few spots (Casey J had been begging his grandpa to go fishing since the night before), we didn’t have a whole lot of luck but the boys had a blast anyway. Dad and I participated in the Coastal Fisheries Bay Team event, they were looking for live Flounder for research. I can’t remember the last time I actually caught a Flounder, and we didn’t have any luck Saturday either. We did get a nice shirt and hat (first darn shirt that wasn’t an XXL and actually fit) , had fun fishing with the boys, and enjoyed the nice weather.

We left after lunch on Saturday and went back to Victoria. All my brothers and their others showed up and we bbq’d for dinner that night. Little Boogie Girl (aka Riley with a cold) played with the boys and we all wrestled on the floor after dinner. This act brought out some unexpected noises which Casey John and Zach were quick to point out who had “tooted”. What is it with boys and body gases?

Sunday morning we all went to breakfast, then went shopping. Is it just me or is it a wee bit too early for all the Christmas sales etc? The boys are already making their list and checking it twice. Casey John is “shopping” the Lego website and Zach is paying way too much attention to all the darn Christmas toy commercials. The boys certainly have their own very evident tastes this year. Casey John is all about dinosaurs, animals, and Legos. Zach is really into NASA, space, and yes, Legos. Enough about Christmas already Thanksgiving isn’t even here yet.

The boys and I enjoyed our weekend while big Casey enjoyed his weekend at the faire. I’ll have some funny sayings updates soon, especially the one about the “blood bottles”.
