The UPS man brings smiles on a box

Yesterday the man clad all in brown (it amazes my that those guys wear shorts in 3o degree weather) delivered to me a box with a smiley on it. We get deliveries pretty regular (computer parts etc for the shop) but this smiley box was special, why you ask, because inside of it was a camera. Not just any camera but the most expensive camera I’ve ever owned and by far the fanciest. Yes my Nikon D40 has already arrived and I’m as giddy as a school girl (Catholic school girl that is). I’ve already tested it out, last night as a matter of fact (stay tuned for those photos). I’m only half way through the manual and if Casey doesn’t slave labor me this weekend getting out the Christmas (hack, Christmas already?) decorations maybe I’ll get to play with my new (giggle) camera some more.

On another note, Renate and I had a blast at the Renaissance Festival last weekend and I’ve posted a few photos onto my flickr account, you can see them there (or click on the photo below to go to the TRF set). We’ll be going back next weekend after Thanksgiving to take the boys. Depending on the weather we may camp there (the forecast has it pretty darn cold that weekend) but I am sure my two wiggle worms would keep me warm if we all crammed into a sleeping bag! It may not be warm enough for the utterly cute kilts the boys have but we’ll see. More tomorrow on the first photos I took with my new camera, until then enjoy the ones from last weekend!
