La Conséquence

The aftermath – you can thank me for the French lesson later! The boys have been enjoying their days off, Casey John’s first question every morning is “Mom, is it a stay at home day today?” They’ve been playing hard with all their new gadgets and toys, the biggest hits have been the R2D2 and their Shaker MP3 players. I heard them jamming out this morning, still singing all different versions of Jingle Bells, it’ll be summer before they get that tune out of their heads.

Zach is enjoying the Wii, although Casey John just prefers to watch other people play. I think he’s the kind of guy who doesn’t even want to try something unless he’s figured it out and will know how to do it. The I’ll learn by watching and when I’m confident I can do it, then I’ll take part. He attempted this morning but was quickly upset when the bowling wasn’t going his way, I tried to explain even I messed up sometimes but he would have none of it.

I’ve spent the past three days putting together every possible type of Lego, from the creepy looking Bionicle things to castles and space ships. We have found a nice home for each toy in the playroom and if it’s not at it’s home (aka on it’s shelf) at the end of the day it goes into the trash (we’ll not really just in a special box until they figure out they need to pick things up properly). We’re only on day one and so far so good.

I took the boys to see Water Horse yesterday and it was a good movie, they both enjoyed it although Casey John informed me it was “way to long” for him. It’s a great family movie and the Scottish accents are to die for. Coming tomorrow thank you letters for gifts from two points of view….
