Peas Please

What four year old gets super excited about having fish sticks and peas for dinner (and totally ignores the macaroni and cheese)? That would be my little man, he loves peas (but not cold ones). I have two boys with completely different picky tendencies, Z-man makes the fake gaggy noises when he’s forced by butter knife point to eat just two tiny bites of peas but Casey J will ask for seconds. He however does not like typical kid foods like mashed potatoes, or mac and cheese, or chocolate ice cream. Yeah, they had the “we got home late from work and mom isn’t super crafty with dinner so make something easy and quick” dinner, yet the food I hated when I was a kid (I despised frozen fish sticks, I still shudder when I pick the box out of the freezer at my local HEB) they absolutely love. I also didn’t like the french sticks from Burger King for breakfast either, that earned me the moniker chipmunk cheeks. I digress.

Casey J took his turn with whatever germ affected Zach last week – a fever, headache, and “swallows” that hurt. Unlike his brother Casey J’s fever comes along with a limp and complaints of his legs bothering him (which for him to complain must mean they really are bothering him). Both were well and back in school today though, giving me time to try and get some work done!!

Big C has come up with new names for everyone. Zach is Macaroni salad or Mac, Casey John is Potato Salad, I got the classy name of Fruit Salad, but we decided on Coleslaw for him. Don’t ask what spurred that, I have no idea what brought it about, I just know Casey J gets really mad and declares “My name is NOT Potato Salad!!!” So please don’t call him that, you can call big Casey a KFC side dish all you want though! 🙂 Up next is some info on a photo of my that will be used in “digital print” and some of my most popular photos on flickr!
