So it seemed like I spent most of yesterday cleaning something. I started with taking the seats out of the van and giving it a good once over (including stain removing all the recent tummy sicknesses). I think I might have some Monkish qualities irks about me. Even if you do know me you may not know my total dislike for dog (or cat) hair on my clothing, furniture, floor, car etc. So as I was cleaning the van I wasn’t satisfied with the removal of said dog hair so naturally I googled “how to remove pet hair from carpet” and came across the best suggestion of using scotch or packing tape. Guess what? It works really well too. I am sure I looked like a total goober but I wanted all the brown doggie hair out of the van. Ah, it’s nice, clean, and fresh smelling now.
Cleaning project number dos was totally unexpected. I discovered someone had put an open and unfinished grape juice box on the bottom shelf of the fridge which got knocked over and shoved to the back in it’s nice little hiding place. Yeah, I found it yesterday and ended up scouring the two bottom draws and one shelf. Ick. New rule – if you open a juice box, finish it, don’t “save it for later”.
Friday on the way home I snagged a great sunset photo – with “permission” from the boys to pull over and take a quick shot.
It seemed like a good omen for the weekend. I must say it was enjoyable weekend too. I also pulled out the old flower bedding stuff in front of the house and with help from Big C (brain help only) designed a new curvy and hip flower bed layout for the front of the house. No flowers yet, maybe next weekend. The boys staged a huge Bionicle war in their tree fort. Bionicles are some new Lego creations, I think they are hideous but the boys absolutely love them. They played in the tree fort for most of the day yesterday. Here’s some battle shots.

Casey John has taken a knack to calling everyone a knuckle head, Zach continues to hold conversations wise beyond his years and Chelsea (the puppy) is one strike away from being given away (kidding, sort of). Today while we were at church she tore up the foot rest of one the $120 sky chairs we bought at the Ren Faire (and those things are super comfy). She spent the day locked in the pen. Next weekend has plans of moving the barn so I am sure there will be some mishap to blog about. Tomorrow I’ll spend the evening helping the boys make and sign their Valentines for school.
