Doesn’t look like I’ll have any pictures of the eclipse to post, it’s super dang cloudy out here in the middle of nowhere. I guess I’ll have to wait until next decade!! Drat. Also it’ll be a week or so before I get pictures of Zach in his karate gear, they had to order it for him. He went to his first BBTC (Black Belt Training Class) today and go to “spar”, and a cute girl kicked his butt! Just kidding, but she did beat him. They base it on a clean hit counting as a points. As long as he doesn’t get frustrated and quit it’s all good.
So I’ve finally caved to the world of Steve Jobs. Yes that’s right, I purchased a *gulp* Apple product. The story goes like this. I have quite a varied taste in music, and purchasing just a song or two from an album is what I usually do, some artists are staples on my mp3 player and I’m likely to purchase whole albums from them. I used to use Windows Media Player but they discontinued their services so after looking for another decent service I couldn’t find one, I then turned to iTunes. I have been really pleased and found many songs that I like and new songs also. The thing is that iTunes has a different format and I can’t just drag the music to my mp3 player. So I could either burn the music to cd, then go from the cd back to WMP. What a pain. I began to ponder the possibility of purchasing the iPod shuffle (1GB or about 240 songs), but at $79 I hesitated. Then last night they dropped the price to $49 because they are coming out with a 2GB model and it was enough to make me take the plunge. Nice thing about the iPod will be syncing it to iTunes without much trouble and it’s very small with a clip which will make it perfect for the gym. I’ll still hang on to my 2GB Sansa, I can put pictures on it and much more music with a display to see album art etc. Go ahead call me a hypocrite, but I bet I won’t care Friday when I get my iPod and am happily jamming out as I jog on treadmill trying to avoid locking eyes with hairy guys in speedos.
