To my little brother – Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! Aidan Drake was born around 5:30pm today in Victoria, and mom and baby are doing well. No pictures yet but I hear he has blue eyes and a head full of dark hair. 🙂 That would make me an aunt times two and a total of four grandkids for Gamma and Gandpa.
This week has been really busy, we spent a good chunk of time Tuesday in Austin with CaseyJ’s checkup and I spent all day yesterday in Austin at a Photoshop Seminar. It was awesome, yes AWESOME. I felt I got my money’s worth in the first twenty minutes and it just got better from there. I was able to join NAPP and get some goodies along with it, photography and Photoshop are really just a hobby but I do use Photoshop for layout designs in my work. I’ve got quite a few books and magazines full of really great techniques for editing photos. I’ll stop there so I don’t bore you, but I will show you an example. First a photo I edited last week-ish.
And now the same photo, edited tonight with some of the new processes I got from the seminar.
Pretty cool huh? I even learned some techniques to remove lens glare (bright red spots in photos) and make a ruined picture look perfect, along with other tips on photo restoration. Soccer practice was okay today, CaseyJ still doesn’t have much interest but I did get him to practice with me on the side and we worked on only using our feet and not our hands. He cracks me up because when he wants to use his hands he’ll ball his fingers up and try to pick the ball up with his forearms. “I’m not using my hands mom!” Next game is this Saturday at 1pm.
Welcome to Earth Aidan!!!
