At the shop we keep a pretty steady supply of water bottles chilling in the refrigerator to drink for both us and the boys. I don’t usually think twice about grabbing a bottle that’s not completely full because we all have the same germs, etc. Boy did I learn my lesson this morning. I decided to make oatmeal this morning for breakfast (I usually eat at the shop after the boys are at school) so I grabbed an open bottle of water and poured some into my bowl, heated it up, and enjoyed. Then as I threw my bowl away I saw the bottle of water and upon closer inspection saw some bits of something FLOATING in it. Amazingly I did manage to keep the oatmeal where it was. One of the boys must have been eating something as they were drinking and they are serious experts in the art of “back spit”. Ugh, *shudder*. I will be keeping a special bottle for my oatmeal in a hidden compartment now so I don’t get any “extra” nutrients in my morning meal. I know “that’s so gross” but it’s what happens to me – often. 🙂
