Stormy Karma

Mark this day down in the book of “No way that all happended in one day” book. Seriously the issues I’ve had today and it’s only 5pm – it’s not over folks. This morning started out ok, besides being incredibly sore from taking a bootcamp class yesterday – and I’m talking it took me ten minutes to convice myself I could actually sit up and get out of bed – it went pretty smooth. I had planned to go to the gym, then go to the office for a few hours then come home to meet the satellite guy who was going to install the new HD reciever (and fix the other one that hadn’t been working), then mow the yard and meet the guys back in San Marcos for dinner before going to the softball game. I got to the office only to have to deal with a few book keeping issues, and was delayed in getting out of town. The satellite guy was going to be here anywhere between 12-5pm. Typical right? On my way out of town at 12:15pm I had full intentions of making a deposit at the bank but was stuck behind a train. Concerned I may miss said satellite guy, I skipped the bank and headed straight home. No more than five miles from home I saw two missed calls on my phone from the satellite guy so I sped up a *little*. I recall seeing something white fly out and figured it must have been a tissue. I get two miles down the road and realize it was a check that was in that deposit I decided to forgo. I can’t go back, must let satellite man in the gate!!

The guy gets his stuff done and I tell Dish I’m happy with the service, blah, blah, blah and follow Mr. Satellite man out the door and head back down our country road looking for a $125 check that flew out of the Jeep. I admit no top and no doors can be a stylish way to cruise but not when you have important paperwork!! Two trips up and down the road with no luck, back home to mow the yard (well most of it). I finally got to relax a bit while folding laundry on the couch only to hear from the Big C that the Little C is grounded from everything except dinner when he gets home. He scracthed a boy at school on the FACE! Holy cow!! I don’t know the story so I’m really not gonna worry yet. I think we’ll be lucky if our kids get to stay at the school next year (I’m only kidding). So I’m waiting for them to come home for dinner before I head back to San Marcos.

And that lovely busted up leg from sliding last week? Yeah, I’m pretty sure the area on my knee is a tiny bit infected (without getting too gory). Thank goodness I know with two boys around to have about six tubes of Neosporin in the house, one within arm’s reach. On some days I’d give for a time travel machine (or a Tardis) to take me to any desired place. Maybe like the top of the Mesa out in Colorado, where if you didn’t have two hyper boys all you might be able to hear would be the sound of the wind…..
